Avenir 2026: University Fair at The TonsBridge School
The TonsBridge School hosted Avenir 2026, a university and career fair that brought together students, parents, and representatives from more than 50 universities. The day was given over to conversations about higher education, admissions, and the career pathways open to students after school.
Bringing Universities to Our Campus
Avenir, French for “future,” was built on a simple idea: students make better decisions about their future when they can ask questions directly. With over 50 universities on campus, students and parents could compare programmes, understand admission requirements, and hear first-hand what each institution offers, all in one place.
Panel Discussions and Q&A Sessions
The programme included panel discussions on higher education and emerging career options. These were followed by open Q&A sessions where students and parents raised questions about course choices, applications, and planning for life after school. The questions were thoughtful and wide-ranging, which made the sessions some of the most valuable parts of the day.
Conversations That Continue Beyond the Day
Between sessions, families moved from desk to desk and spoke with university representatives one-on-one. For many students, it was a first chance to picture themselves at a particular university or in a particular field. For parents, it was an opportunity to understand the options alongside their children.
Avenir 2026 reflected the school’s commitment to guiding students not only through their school years but also toward the choices that follow.
We thank every participating university, our panellists, and the parents and students who made the day a success.
