Grandparents’ Day 2026 at The Tonsbridge School

Grandparents’ Day Celebration 2026

The Pre-Primary Section of The Tonsbridge School organised a heartwarming Grandparents’ Day celebration to honour the love, wisdom and invaluable presence of grandparents in the lives of our little ones. Grandparents were specially invited to be a part of this memorable occasion, making the day even more meaningful for the children and their families.

A Warm Welcome to Our Grandparents’ Day Celebration

The programme began with a welcome address by Ms. Deepika Joshi, Head of Pre-Primary, who spoke about the special role grandparents play in shaping young minds. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Director, the Principal and all the Heads of The Tonsbridge School, marking an auspicious start to the Grandparents’ Day celebration.

Performances Filled with Love

The event was filled with joy, laughter and beautiful moments as our young learners expressed their love and gratitude through delightful performances and activities. The children enthusiastically participated in songs, dances and special presentations dedicated to their beloved grandparents. Many grandparents were moved to see their grandchildren perform with such confidence and excitement on stage.

The presence and encouragement of the grandparents added warmth and happiness to the entire Grandparents’ Day celebration. Their smiles, applause and blessings made the children feel truly special.

Celebrating the Bond Between Generations

Grandparents are a child’s first storytellers, gentle guides and constant source of comfort. At The Tonsbridge School, we believe that strong family bonds play an important role in a child’s early learning and emotional growth. Celebrations like Grandparents’ Day help children understand the value of respect, gratitude and togetherness from a young age.

The event was a beautiful reminder that the bond between grandparents and grandchildren is truly precious, a bond nurtured by love, care, stories and cherished memories.

A Sweet Ending to a Special Day

Tea and snacks were served at the end, giving grandparents a chance to interact with teachers and with one another. The celebration concluded with heartfelt smiles and unforgettable moments, leaving everyone with a sense of gratitude and happiness.

It was indeed a special day celebrating the beautiful bond between generations. We thank all the grandparents for gracing the occasion and making it so memorable. To learn more about our early years programme, visit our Pre-Primary page, or explore more News and Events from The Tonsbridge School.
