The School organised its annual Inter-School Debate “Engaging Minds” On October 10. Ten schools, viz. Summer Valley School, St. Thomas’ College, DIS (Riverside), DPSG, Cambrian Hall, Wynberg Allen, Social Baluni Public School, Shri Ram Ventennial, RIMC and TonsBridge, participated in the Debate. The Debate was judged by Col. Arun Sareen and Mrs. Natasha Verma. The topic for the Debate was “ONE NATION ONE ELECTION IS THE NEED OF THE HOUR IN A POLITY.”
All the participants forcefully presented their views for or against the motion, supporting their views with conviction, hard facts and good reasoning. The results were as follows:-

The Chief Guest for the Debate was Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, the former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Speaking on the occasion, the judges as well as the Chief Guest appreciated the efforts of all the speakers and passed on some tips to the participants and the audience. As a reputed residential school in Dehradun, our students showcased remarkable debating skills at the event. The programme concluded with the Chief Guest giving away the prizes, presentation of a memento to the Chief Guest by the School’s Chairman Mr. Vijay Nagar and a vote of thanks by the School’s Director Mr. Shailendra Benjamin.
