TTBS MUN 2026: The TonsBridge School Hosts 2nd MUN

TTBS MUN 2026

The TonsBridge School, Dehradun, has once again proven its dedication to experiential learning by successfully hosting the second edition of The TonsBridge Model United Nations (TTBS MUN 2026). From July 24 to 26, the campus was transformed into a bustling hub of global diplomacy, bringing together 400 delegates from 14 prestigious schools for three days of intense debate, negotiation, and policymaking.

A Theme for the Future: Shaping a Cooperative World Order

The cornerstone of this year’s conference was its powerful theme: “Advancing a Cooperative World Order: Multipolarity, Institutional Reform, and Policy Innovation for Global Stability.”

This dynamic platform allowed students to step into the shoes of global leaders. Rather than just reading about current events, delegates actively deliberated on pressing contemporary challenges, sharpening their critical thinking, leadership, and public speaking skills.

13 Committees Addressing Real-World Challenges

Over the course of three action-packed days, delegates were divided into thirteen distinct committees, ensuring a wide spectrum of global issues was tackled. Key topics of debate included:

  • International Security & Economic Cooperation
  • Climate Change & Human Rights
  • Artificial Intelligence & Global Governance

Beyond traditional UN committees, TTBS MUN 2026 offered unique immersive experiences through the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM), the Lumière Congress, and the International Press Corps, giving participants hands-on exposure to national policymaking and journalistic integrity.

Inspiring Leadership at the Inauguration

The event officially kicked off on July 24, 2026, with a grand opening ceremony. The conference was declared open by Secretary-General Ms. Gargi Saraswat.

The inauguration was graced by the school’s esteemed leadership, including Chairman Mr. Vijay Nagar, Director Mr. Shailendra Benjamin, Managing Director Mr. Poras Raj Nagar, and Principal Dr. Gargi Singh. In his inspiring keynote address, Chairman Mr. Vijay Nagar challenged the young delegates to step up as responsible global citizens and the visionary leaders of tomorrow.

A Patriotic Closing Ceremony: Honoring Kargil Vijay Diwas

The closing ceremony provided a fitting and emotional finale, purposefully coinciding with Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event paid a heartfelt tribute to the valor and ultimate sacrifice of India’s armed forces.

The ceremony was elevated by the presence of highly decorated dignitaries:

  • Chief Guest: Lieutenant General Nagendra Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM (Commandant, Indian Military Academy)
  • Guest of Honour: IFS Shri Ranjan Kumar Mishra (Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Uttarakhand)

The ceremony featured vibrant cultural performances and a special felicitation of internationally acclaimed artists: filmmaker Mr. Yashasvi Juyal, producer Mr. Viraj Sikand, and cinematographer Mr. Dipesh Manral.
